IBCC TRIBUTE DRIVE FOR BOB ROUNSEFELL
Sunday, June 8th, a few IBCC members took a drive to the Wendell cemetery to have coffee with Bob. Because of the distance involved, Bob and Ilene couldn't normally attend our 'Coffee Gatherings' so we decided to go have one with him. Driving is what Bob loved to do,so we went for a short drive in his honor. Thanks to Ilene for providing coffee, juice and pastries (those warm cinnamon rolls should be outlawed!!!)
PS....guess what car didn't start when it was time to leave....!?!?!

The following was an email sent to Pete. All our thoughts and prayers are with Ilene and her family. Thanks to Don Campbell for the shared thoughts. Couldn't have said it better myself, and that's why I posted this here.
We'll miss you, Bob.
...
Good Morning Pete,
Diane came across notice that Bob Rounsefell passed away on Saturday, May 10 after a short illness. We had not heard anything from Bob or Ilene that anything was wrong or amiss and it comes as a shock that Bob has died.
Bob's obituary was published in the Times-News (and also Magicvalley.com) on Wednesday, May 14. As you may remember, Bob and Ilene had been planning a trip across country to visit family in their Austin-Healy this summer.
Bob and I met at "Miller Brothers Auto Body" in Wendell, ID where I was rebuilding my MG Midget and he was having some body work done on his Healy. Bob and Ilene were very excited about the Idaho British Car Club and encouraged Diane and I to join (which we did). Bob told me about various adventures he and Ilene incurred driving their Healy -- averaging 5000-7000 miles per year; breakdowns, hotel rooms, beautiful driving weather, the people they had met through-out the motoring world.
One year (and I don't remember which) Bob and Ilene were encouraged to enter their Healy in the Joe Mama Car Show. At that time, there wasn't a catagory for "Foreign Sports Car" as there is today, so the coordinators put Bob and Ilene's Healy in with the Corvette's and other American sports cars. Bob and Ilene won and thoroughly frustrated the corvette owners -- so much so that Joe Mama was forced to create a new catagory of "Foreign Sports Car" just so the corvettes would have a chance.
I learned alot from Bob and Ilene -- probably the joy of driving, owning a piece of history, and the great people we have had the opportunity to meet. I wish our association could have lasted longer.
Please let the folks in the club know that one of our own has passed away.
Thanks,
Don and Diane Campbell
